SUMMARY:  The Campaign Manager is responsible for the management of current campaigns and any future campaigns, which requires the overall maintenance and support of the cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition programs, activities, events, and communication that advance the goals and enhance fundraising campaign efforts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Implement daily administrative activities associated with campaign planning and execution of donor tracking system for cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition
  • Support capital campaign efforts with prospect research specific to donors and foundations using best practices
  • Manage all grant writing for foundations and granting institutions
  • Manage and update the prospect campaign module
  • Assist with the planning and management of cultivation, stewardship, and recognition programs and activities and events
  • Assist in preparation of reports and presentations including formatting and proofreading for various committee and staff meetings. In addition, responsible for taking minutes at various committee and staff meetings
  • Manage special tasks, projects and events throughout the year
  • Correspond with campaign donors and work with volunteers on various projects
  • Schedule campaign meetings and handles office correspondence as directed

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three or more years of experience in fundraising, research, events, and donor and volunteer engagement for school(s) or non-profit organization(s), preferably in campaign management
  • Experience with grant writing and donor tracking desired
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to enjoy getting to know the school's diverse constituencies
  • Must be a self-starter and consistently demonstrate initiative without being prompted
  • Strong organizational, managerial and detail oriented skills are required, preferably with experience in campaign management
  • A cooperative team approach with colleagues and willingness to take on responsibilities beyond those explicitly defined. Good sense of humor and ability to be part of a closely interactive team of advancement professionals

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and preferably with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge
  • Ability to provide one's own general clerical support
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • At minimum, an undergraduate degree is required.
  • Experience in a school or organization while a capital campaign was in progress is preferred.
